Maher and Murtha, LLC is committed to utilizing the most economical solutions to address the needs of the clients. Thomas M. Murtha, Geoffrey L. Squitiero, and John C. Turner have each volunteered their time to act as Special Masters and Attorney Trial Referees for the Connecticut State Court system in the Fairfield Judicial District Courthouse in Bridgeport. As part of that service as a Special Master, they volunteer periodically throughout the year to act as neutral hearing officers to attempt to settle pending civil matters in pretrial conferences. Additionally, when one of them acts as an Attorney Trial Referee, he is called upon to hear and to decide pending civil cases that have not been claimed to the civil jury docket.

Our firm also actively refers and participates in mediation, arbitration and other non-judicial hearings to try to arrive at quick, fair and economical resolutions of our clients’ claims.
